Loving us to the end – Jesus and his friends in the Upper Room (John 13-17)

How do you know someone loves you?

Is it the words they say or the actions they demonstrate?

Is it the thought and depth of the words they say or the lengths they go in the actions they demonstrate?

In his Gospel, John spends time giving us an insight into several words and actions of Jesus in the “Upper Room” with his disciples, telling them of and showing them his love, which would ultimately lead him to the cross.

In this new year and leading towards Easter, would we as disciples of Jesus receive the promise of Christ that he truly loves us to the very end and live in the security that this brings.
